Amazing experience!
We had stayed here in first weekend of September. Place is awesome and peaceful. Two types of cottages are present: deluxe and premium. We have stayed in premium but deluxe is also good.
Pros:
1. Peaceful surroundings and lovely location.
2. Located Amidst of forest.
3. Great host
4. Nice food
5. Complementary ayurvedic spa for fifteen minutes. Additional spa/steam bath is available at reasonable prices.
6. Couple friendly
7. Road condition is great.
8. Complementary breakfast.
9. Great views from balcony and from room.
Cons: very difficult to find.
1. Roadside parking.
2. Little steep stairs/hike of about 50 metres to reach hotel.
Plan to stay here. People will enjoy for sure!

As the name said BEYOND STAY KASTURA. It was excellent because this was my sudden journey to Kanatal for 3 days and the moment I came i was like ki GAZAB.............. Specialization of this place is Peace and surroundings grab by the nature. And yes Precisely FAMOUS for #_MAA_SURKANDA_MATA_MANDIR
frwrd talking about staff service, food and manager. Although Staff is so respectful and diligent they take care of us at any moment. And afcors this place's manager Mr. Anish he's having organized and oriented personality to cure any problem u might have........

We stayed at Kastura Cottages from 27th to 28th March, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The location is perfect if you're looking to stay away from the crowd and truly enjoy the peace and beauty of Kanatal. The property is clean, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by nature.
The food was delicious and homely, and the staff was courteous and helpful throughout our stay. If you're visiting Kanatal, I definitely recommend choosing Kastura Resort for a peaceful, relaxing experience.
The only thing to note is that there's a bit of an initial climb (about 5 minutes) to reach the reception area via stairs but it's totally worth it once you're up there and see the views.

I went to Kastura Resorts in summers'17 with my family for 1 and a half week. I stayed in one of the rooms. Rooms were very nice and tidy, all things were of great quality. The room was very comfortable in every way. Rooms had great views of hills and forest. The food served was fresh and tasty.
Staff's hospitality was very nice, always present for any help or service needed. Service was available 24x7. Although they took some time to arrange things but service was nice.
At all nights there is bonfire in the open and you can enjoy your drinks sitting there, under the sky fully lit with stars.
The location is very beautiful and mesmerizing for nature enthusiasts. Encircled with green hills and one side dense forest. Its a lovely scenery.
There were also adventure sports and hiking available for tourists. Which were organized in care and take of professionals and guides.
I'll be surely be going this Resort again in winters'18.

We were a little doubtful about this one while booking. But it turned out to be a complete surprise for us. Kastura is off the main highway and around 5-7 kms before the main Kanatal area, so there’s not much traffic. It’s peaceful and quiet which is definitely what one needs in the fanatic rush in June. The service is good, their staff is very fast and helpful, the owner himself is very welcoming and makes sure you are being attended well. The view of mountains and sunrise/sunset from the resort is breathtaking. Good food too! The rooms are spacious and contains all the basic amenities. We, a group of 10 people, even got complimentary massage sessions (15 minutes each)which was very relaxing. Plus, for the animal lovers, they have a very very cute 4 month old Himalayan Sheepdog named Shera, who is definitely gonna grab your attention.
So, if you are planning to go to Kanatal, I would definitely recommend this place.

I highly recommend kastura Resorts. The property is nestled between beautiful hills and have some amazing views of the Himalayan range.
The cottages were very clean and had all the basic amenities to have a pleasent and peaceful stay. They also have an on-site restaurant overlooking the mountains, serving delicious food. Bonfire during the evening hours, under star lit sky were an added bonus enjoyed by all.
Saurabh (the owner) and his staff were very courteous and helpful during my stay.
Overall, I would highly recommend this resort and will visit again, hopefully in near future.

I had an great experience in Beyond stay Kastura Resort in Kanatal.The room was good looking as well as if we talk about the staff they all are sensable&well behaviour.Now coming to food the food was so amazing. According to me they all are passionate about their work.And the one thing is the manager of this this Resort Mr.Anish singh, he was very helpful and well behaved staff not only to me but to everyone and He knows everything how to handle the situations.He is passionate about their skills. At last i would like to say one thing to all of you, if you plan trip to Mussoorie So,Please visit at Beyond stay Kastura Resort at Kanatal.

Indeed it was a beyond stay experience at kastura kanatal!!...Ideal for people who enjoy living in nature away from hustle bustle .The place is situated in the lap of lush green hills and gives a feeling of immense serenity .Food was simple with homely touch and was very delicious 😃.The manager Mr.Anish is a very humble person .He and his staff was very cooperative and gave their best to make our stay a comfortable one .this place is good for solo travelers and even for pet parents as it's pet friendly 😃😃..Really glad to have been there!!

I stayed at Kastura Cottages in Kanatal in the first week of April. The location of the resort is peaceful and perfect to relax. The view of sunrise and sunset from the resort is amazing. One thing to note is that there are around 30-40 stairs from the road to the top where the rooms are. It’s manageable, but older people might need to take a few breaks while climbing. The staff is helpful and food was fresh and tasty. If you are looking for a quiet hotel in Kanatal, this place is a good choice.

One of the best resorts in Kanatal area, located in serenity of Kadukhal this place heaven in isolation, absolutely away from the hustle-bustle of typical tourist place like Mussoorie.
Also, the owner keeps the record of everything by being at the property & is always at a guest's disposal all the time. Also, the whole staff is super friendly & shows brilliant hospitality. Also, the resort has super clean rooms with delicious food.
10/10 would recommend it for a visit.

We stayed at Kastura Cottages for 3 nights at the end of March. Booked a Premium Room and it was really worth it. The view from the balcony was beautiful – full valley view with greenery and peace all around. The room was spacious, clean, and had a cozy vibe. Food was homely and fresh – especially loved the parathas in breakfast. Staff was polite and helpful. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay for me and my wife. Highly recommend for couples or small families.

Stayed at Katsura over Dec-end 2018. Didn’t wanted to stay in crowded Mussourie so explored something remote. And Katsura was chosen from many other options, best decision made and realized later.
Location : it’s located very close to famous Surkanda Devi temple, on a hilltop. Around 8kms from Dhanaulti towards Chamba.
It’s a brand new property comfortable consisting cottages - Deluxe and Premium. Both have almost same facilities but vary in size.
They also have a running restaurant with an amazing view, serving delicious food.
Spa was not operational, to be started soon.
Cottages had every required item of convenience - TV, heater, hot water cattle, running hot water, intercom, wifi, clean beds and lenins, towels.
Staff was extra courteous to serve you. Owner himself ensures you are comfortable.
Overall the best place to stay in that region if you wish to spend quality time, far from crowded world.
Parking is on road and you need to take around 100 steps to reach resort. Staff is courteous to assist on your luggage.
So just be at Kastura - you can’t go wrong.

This is a fantastic property. In the midst of clouds in August. On the hill top. The pictures are exactly the same as shown in the pics. This is a new property established in 2018. The rooms are very nice like a 3.5 to 4 star resort. The staff is very cordial and so is the owner Captain. Few pointers for those who come here. This place is away from the city hustle and bustle and the natural beauty and nature scenery is very nice. Reason you are able to enjoy this natural habitat is because you are far away from the city. Hence please try to follow certain rules. Order dinner before 9 or 8:30 and try to inform the staff about your food arrangements. Reason if you were in the city it's still fine but in this heavenly place. It's takes time and effort to get what you want. The staff has been so good that they also have us complementary rose water cleansers and special dishes. I came with my big family of 11 and had a fantastic stay. If you are going to want a city like stay and expecting a lot of commercialization around the town Kanatal and Dhanaulti then this is not for you. If you are a nature lover this is the place for you.

"Wonderful break in beautiful surrounds”
Our stay at Kastura-an Ayurvedic spa resort was an excellent break from Delhi’s Summer time. Beyond the relaxing atmosphere of the resort, the next best part was the attractive location from where you can enjoy the nature’s view.<br/>We were greeted by Capt Saurabh ( property owner) who was very hospitable in approach, not only in welcoming us but he also made a point to daily check if the stay was being properly taken care of. The best part was complementary ayurvedic drink which was offered when we checked in and trust me it actually worked and resolved all acidity and digestion problem (that we might get while travelling).<br/>The staff is very courteous and know to be good hosts for their guests.<br/>Providing an ideal mix of value, comfort and convenience, it offers a family-friendly setting with an array of amenities designed for travellers. <br/>The room was comfortable in every way.<br/>Can highly recommend a stay here - so much more of a worthwhile experience with beautiful sunset and sunrise view to embrace god’s nature.<br/>A wonderful mini-vacation!

I went to katsura resort in september 2017 on my business tour. I stayed there for 3 days and my stay was really good. The infrastructure is really good. The resort is based on a village theme. Food is of good quality. I really liked the head chef. The rooms are much comfortable and quite well organised and set. the resort owner is customer friendly. It feels like home.

Location wise and scenery, nature wise best place to stay and have a vacation.
You have to do a little bit of trekking to reach the resort but its worth the climb.
Elder people might find it somewhat hard to trek but still I would recommend this place for all age groups.
Weather is very chill so be prepared with warm clothes.
Food is great too.

We visited Kastura Cottages, Kanatal for 2 nights in March with office friends. The place is calm and away from noise. The staff was helpful and the food was home-style and very tasty. The resort has a great view, especially during sunrise and sunset. If anyone is planning to stay in Kanatal, this hotel is a very good option.

We did a short 2-night trip to Kastura Cottages in the first week of April. Took the Premium Room , very peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a break from city life. Room and bathroom were neat and clean. The staff was always smiling and ready to help. Food was simple but tasty, just like homemade. Will definitely come back again for a longer stay.

Wonderful stay. I was able to see a clear mountain view from my window.The staff was very polite and helpful. Also the owner Himanshu is a very down to earth person, he personally ensures that everything is fine and also makes sure that you will get the best customer experience over there.

We were in Seren place. Very Good View from Hotel, Staff too Good n Cooperative.
Chef made Food what we wanted and it was SATVIK Food.
The only suggestion is include price of Heater while booking the Room or Rooms at the time of cold season.
